Important Dates

Camp runs from Saturday July 31st to Saturday 7th August. Youth campers will receive an email on Friday 16th July allocating a specific registration time at the main gate. In line with our COVID-19 safety plan, youth are grouped into patrols and will check in with their cohort during the time slot.

Parents are encouraged to leave plenty of time to travel to camp and to arrive within the hour-long registration time allocated to them. Unfortunately if you arrive outside of the allocated timeslot, we will need you to return to register at 4.30pm. Youth traveling from similar locations and troops, i.e. Victoria, Campbell River, Comox, Nanaimo etc., have been grouped to allow for ride sharing.

Pre-Screening

Anyone that has taken part in any in-person Scouting activities over the last few months will be familiar with the Scouts Canada COVID-19 pre-screening checklist. This is a Scouts Canada mandated requirement for all in-person activities. We will be sending all campers, youth and adults, a pre-screening checklist on Friday 23rd July to be completed online using a computer or your smartphone. Please keep an eye on your emails and our facebook page as updates will be posted.

Payments

We still have a few outstanding payments and with the reduced number of youth at camp this year our budget is significantly tighter. If you have a balance due, you will have received an email from the camp registrar with details of how to make your payment and the amount due. Please let the camp registrar know if you have any issues with payments or need financial assistance as we would like to have all payments in within the next couple of days.

Updates and Communication

We try to make communication as easy as possible with everyone at camp. Email is obviously the easiest and most manageable way of doing so, but we still have some parents and youth that do not respond to our message or have difficulty finding them in their inbox. All important information and updates (including this one) are also posted on our website and on our facebook group page. If you haven't visited our facebook page, please do so and you can be sure to see not only the important updates we send out but also photos throughout the week, a great way to see that your kids are having fun!
